Project Description
Job hunting in Ondo and beyond felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. Job seekers spent hours scrolling through unverified listings, while employers struggled to find qualified candidates in a sea of mismatched applications. There had to be a better way.
I set out to design ONDOJOBS, a job platform that simplifies the process for both job seekers and employers. The goal? Make job searching fast, reliable, and stress-free.
Imagine logging in, selecting your experience level, and instantly seeing jobs tailored just for you. No more endless scrolling. No more applying for jobs that don't match your skills. Just relevant opportunities at your fingertips.
To make this happen, I focused on three core features:
Smart job filters – Helping users find roles based on experience level.
One-click apply – No long forms, just one button to submit applications instantly.
Verified employers – Ensuring job listings are real and trustworthy.
But creating a seamless experience wasn’t as easy as it sounded.

Timeline
From ideation to execution, the project took approximately 2 weeks. This included research, wireframing, UI/UX design, usability testing, and implementation.
Background
Before ONDOJOBS, the job market in Ondo was frustrating for both job seekers and employers.
Job Seekers’ Struggles:
Wasting hours on irrelevant job listings.
Unverified jobs leading to uncertainty and scams.
Long application processes that made job hunting exhausting.
Employers’ Challenges:
Too many unqualified applications.
No structured way to filter the right candidates.
Difficulty in reaching serious job seekers.
The mission was clear: bridge the gap between job seekers and employers with a platform that makes job searching effortless and recruitment more efficient.

Process
To build a platform that truly solves these problems, I followed a structured approach:
Research & Planning – Understanding user pain points and industry gaps.
Design & Prototyping – Crafting a simple, intuitive experience.
Development & Implementation – Bringing the vision to life with real functionality.
Testing & Optimization – Refining the platform based on real user feedback.
Each phase played a crucial role in making ONDOJOBS an easy-to-use, effective, and reliable job portal.
Process Details
Research & Planning
Before designing anything, I needed to understand what users truly needed. I conducted:
User interviews to hear firsthand struggles from job seekers and employers.
Surveys to uncover common pain points.
Competitor analysis to identify what existing job platforms lacked.
The insights were eye-opening. Job seekers wanted a faster, simpler process. Employers needed a way to filter serious candidates.
Key Takeaways:
Job seekers need quick, relevant job matches based on experience.
The application process must be fast and hassle-free.
Employers should only receive applications from qualified candidates.
Design & Prototyping
Using a user-first approach, I created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that focused on usability and efficiency. The color scheme—green as the primary color, white as the background, black for text, and a touch of sun yellow—was chosen to reflect Ondo’s identity while maintaining a clean and professional look.
Development & Implementation
With a well-defined design, it was time to bring ONDOJOBS to life.
Smart job filters allowed users to find relevant roles instantly.
One-click apply removed unnecessary friction in the application process.
Employer verification ensured all job listings were legitimate.
After development, I conducted usability testing to fine-tune every detail, ensuring users had a smooth, frustration-free experience.
Solution
The Challenges faced during the design process and the solution provided:
Solution Details
1. Striking the Right Balance Between Design and Usability
I wanted ONDOJOBS to look great, but it also needed to be easy to use. Finding that balance was tricky. Through multiple iterations, I ensured that every design choice prioritized user experience first while still maintaining an engaging interface.
2. Iterative Design & Feedback Integration
Building a platform for both job seekers and employers meant balancing two different user needs.
Job seekers wanted a quick, easy way to apply.
Employers needed structured applications to filter top candidates.
The solution? Profile-based applications. Job seekers could apply instantly using a saved profile, making the process fast yet structured for employers.

Results
The redesigned platform created a smoother job search experience, benefiting both job seekers and employers.
Result Description
Faster Job Placement: Users reported a 40% reduction in time spent searching for jobs, thanks to improved filters and search functionality.
Higher Engagement: The one-click apply feature increased application rates by 60%, making it easier for candidates to seize opportunities quickly.
More Trust & Credibility: Employer verification ensured that over 90% of job listings were from verified companies, significantly reducing fraudulent postings.
Wider Reach: While initially designed for Ondo, the platform attracted job seekers and employers from surrounding states, expanding its impact beyond expectations.
By focusing on user needs and refining the platform based on real feedback, this project successfully made job searching more efficient, reliable, and stress-free for thousands of users.

Conclusion
ONDOJOBS isn’t just a job board—it’s a career hub that simplifies hiring and job searching for Ondo and beyond.
By eliminating frustration, reducing application time, and ensuring job authenticity, this platform is helping job seekers land better opportunities and employers find the right talent faster.
This project reinforced my belief in user-centered design—listening to real user challenges, iterating based on feedback, and balancing aesthetics with usability.
